Features of their intranet include news and announcements, categorized document downloads, display and searches of employee and organization contacts, and integration with their Exchange calendars for scheduling meeting rooms.
I was hired to build on the efforts of previous developers, as well as work closely with the current engineering contractor. We have helped bring the product to market, and are actively improving the application to be even more modular, capable of being used by many industries.
I worked closely with AccuNet-Cincinnati while consulting directly for CoActive Marketing Group. I have also helped AccuNet with work for their other clients, including development of a stand-alone Solomon module using Solomon Tools.
I was contracted by the Cincinnati office to help convert their custom accounting software (which was, by the way, very good) to Microsoft Solomon. To accomplish this, I had to learn the fundamentals of Oracle P/SQL, rapidly understand both Solomon and my client's accounting needs, and work with the New York consultants (at that time, it was ePartners. CoActive changed to AccuNet a couple of years later). I wrote a sophisticated data import program to manipulate the exported Oracle data, so that data could be imported without fear of duplication. I also heavily customized the Solomon purchase order screen, and created several custom Crystal reports.
After the conversion, CoActive retained my services for two years, during which time I aided them in day-to-day operations and support, many more custom reports and screens (including a web-based forecasting tool), and transitioned other CoActive companies into Solomon.
Since the Solomon project, CoActive has contracted me to help with over twenty web site projects using both standard ASP and ASP.NET.
I was engaged by Graphet to help them centralize and organize their client energy data, as well as develop utilities and methods for data import and export. The software tools involved included Mathworks Matlab mathematics software, Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Basic, Excel, and VB Script. I created a multi-database schema and wrote roughly a half dozen applications.
